Alexandria, VA, USA – May 4, 2020 – For CFREs, retiring from professional fundraising no longer means losing their connection to the CFRE Community.
CFRE Retired status is available to those who voluntarily relinquish active CFRE status due to retirement, are in good standing, no longer meet CFRE recertification requirements, no longer earn primary remuneration from fundraising and have recertified at least twice. CFRE Retired status never expires as long as the holder remains retired from fundraising.
From now until December 31, 2020, the status is available retroactively to those who have previously retired.
“Our community let us know there is a need for a retired status. So many CFREs are proud of the designation they earned in their working years. I’m pleased to say we are now able to offer an avenue for CFREs to stay plugged into the unique CFRE community once retired,” said CFRE International President and CEO Eva Aldrich, Ph.D., CAE, (CFRE, 2001-2016).
To apply for CFRE Retired status, there is an online application with a one-time payment equivalent to the cost of one recertification cycle (currently US$408 for members of participating organizations/US$510 regular rate).
