Three members of our community of CFRE certified fundraising professionals were recently honoured by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) as members of its first cohort of six Distinguished Fellows. Please join CFRE International in congratulating Richard Paul Bragga, CFRE, JD, FAFP, Grant Martin, CFRE, FAFP, and David Tinker, CFRE, FAFP on this recognition of their service to AFP and the fundraising and philanthropic communities. The designation bestowed upon the as AFP Distinguished Fellows is FAFP.

The AFP Distinguished Fellows program, and Honorary Fellows program (for those who are not members of AFP), was developed by AFP’s Senior Leaders Engagement Taskforce chaired by chaired by Michael Delzotti, CFRE. The program spotlights individuals who have made significant leadership contributions to the philanthropic and fundraising professions, and who will continue to advance AFP’s mission and vision through their volunteer and advisory work.
CFRE certificants who are AFP members with fifteen years in the profession are eligible for nomination as a Distinguished Fellow. For the Honorary Fellow, a minimum of fifteen years in nonprofit leadership is required. Nominations are required to address professional recognition, employment history, publications and speaking history, AFP memberships, honor and activity, and a concise description of why he or she should be selected a Fellow.
