This class will give you practical and best-practice approaches to secure corporate sponsorships and make lasting partnerships. We will review current value-add trends in corporate philanthropy and sponsorship. Whether you’re developing a new relationship or strengthening existing partners, this workshop is for you!

BIO:
Valerie Day is Vice President for Advancement at Carson-Newman University. In this role, she serves as the chief fundraiser responsible for more than $8 million annually with a base of over 25,000 constituents including alumni, foundations, and corporations. Her diverse, 25-year career began in corporate sales and marketing with Coca-Cola, USA, special events, fundraising, non-profit management and now in the higher education sector with Carson-Newman University.
Valerie has served in the community on a variety of boards including United Way, Red Cross and Girl Scouts. She will serve on the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce board, starting in January 2016. She is a member of Rotary Club of Knoxville, St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and Leadership Blount.
