Fundraising is an exciting, rewarding profession that relies on the work of confident, ethical professionals.
Becoming a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) supports your professional growth in the field of fundraising while demonstrating you have the knowledge and commitment to best practices to help your organization reach its philanthropic goals.
A global certification
More than 6,400 fundraising professionals in 25 countries are CFREs.
As the only globally recognized, accredited fundraising certification, the CFRE indicates professionalism, confidence, and ethics. It is how today’s fundraiser shows accountability, service, and commitment to making a difference for good.
What it takes to become a CFRE
Candidates demonstrate that in the past five years they have worked at least 36 months in a fundraising role, have earned 80 points of continuing education, and met professional performance requirements. Candidates must also attest that they are knowledgeable of and abide by the International Statement of Ethical Principles in Fundraising as well as laws regulating fundraising in the region where they practice.
Once your application is approved, you may then sit for the CFRE Exam, which measures your knowledge of best practices. Testing centers are available throughout Australia.
