What a storm! Whether you know it by its official name, Winter Storm Jonas, or by its nickname in the nation’s capital region, #Snowzilla, it’s likely you either heard about, or experienced, the winter storm that hit the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States last weekend. The storm left two to three feet of snow across its most impacted areas, effectively shutting down the nation’s capital region and creating havoc in the personal and professional lives of those in its path. As the pictures below demonstrate, the dig out continues.
CFRE International is happy to report that all headquarters staff weathered the storm safely and, thanks to mobile work solutions, CFRE International business continued as usual despite the record levels of snowfall. As the dig out continues, we extend our best wishes to all members of the fundraising community who weathered #Snowzilla alongside us.
We’re happy to share the photos below to give you a sense of the aftermath of the storm around the CFRE International office in the Old Town area of Alexandria, Virginia (across the river from Washington, DC). Clearly, our area is not accustomed to this much snow!
We’d love to see your storm pictures and hear your stories through social media. You can post them to the CFRE International Facebook page using #CFRE and #Jonas or #Snowzilla or tweet them @CFRE_INTL using the same hashtags.
