Four Members Join CFRE International Board of Directors Beginning in 2024

Alexandria, VA – December 11, 2023 – CFRE International is pleased to announce the election of Edna Meza Aguirre, JD, CFRE (Tucson, AZ, USA); Deniz Taşdemiroğlu Conger, MPA, CFRE (Portland, OR, USA); Scott Sandison, CFRE (Vancouver, BC, Canada), and Art Taylor (Alexandria, VA, USA) to three-year terms (2024 – 2026) to the CFRE International Board of Directors.

CFRE International is governed by a Board of Directors of 11, including 10 CFRE certificants and one public member. Members lend their expertise and insight to ensure the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential continues to grow globally.

Aldrich, Ph.D., CAE, (CFRE, 2001-2016). “Fundraising is a challenging, and often misunderstood, profession. The CFRE credential validates that today’s practitioner possesses the key knowledge to perform their responsibilities in an environment of trust and accountability. Our board is committed to not only advancing the fundraising profession itself, but to ensuring the credential continues to meet the needs of donors and organizations who employ CFREs.”

This year the CFRE International Committee on Directorship, chaired by Lesley Ray, MBus, CFRE, FFIA, had the task of selecting a slate of four candidates.

The slate of Aguirre, Conger, Sandison, and Taylor was elected by a 95.23% majority of current CFRE certificants who cast their ballots in the election closing September 13, 2023. The four new members’ terms of service on the CFRE International Board of Directors begin January 1, 2024.
