Policy on Review of Eligibility Requirements

On a yearly basis, CFRE International Staff shall prepare trends found on application submissions and concerns raised by applicants to be presented to the President and CEO.

When new trends appear that may require a change in the eligibility criteria for certification, the President and CEO will present the findings to CFRE International Board of Directors for discussion. The Board will ensure the applicability of the criteria, relevance and fairness based on this review process and changes which occur in the field.

Additionally, with each completion of a role delineation study (approximately every five years), the Board shall review eligibility criteria considering the results of the role delineation study and make adjustments to the criteria as necessary.
