Alexandria, VA, USA – April 16, 2020 – CFRE International and the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Wise Giving Alliance announce a new partnership to help more fundraising professionals pursue their Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification.
Fundraising professionals employed by one of the more than 400 BBB Wise Giving Alliance seal-holding nonprofits are now eligible to receive 20% off the cost of their CFRE certification.
This partnership will further strengthen the nonprofit community by putting certification within reach of thousands more fundraising professionals. In turn, this ensures nonprofits have qualified fundraising professionals on their team able to implement current ethical best practices.

By evaluating nonprofits against a set of rigorous standards, the BBB WGA provides vital information donors can use to confidently make decisions about how to support their favorite causes. As the number of CFREs working in these organizations grows, donors can have increased assurance in their favorite nonprofits.

The CFRE is the only globally-recognized, accredited certification for fundraising professionals. CFREs must meet a set of eligibility criteria and pass a 200-question exam to demonstrate their mastery of fundraising best practices.
Currently, there are more than 6,900 CFREs in 25 countries.
