The conference brings together Advisory Council Representatives from CFRE International’s Participating Organisations, Participating Organisation heads of staff, and the CFRE International Board of Directors and staff to strengthen the ties between our organisations and develop a shared vision and goals for how the organisations can most effectively work together to build a stronger, more effective, global philanthropic sector through certification for fundraising professionals.
The conference agenda will feature:

- A moderated discussion panel: Career Pathways for the Fundraising Profession – A Global Perspective, featuring leadership of global Participating Organisations
- Discussion of CFRE International survey findings & case studies of Participating Organisation communication around CFRE certification to their constituencies
- Group discussion and strategy building around a collective vision for the promotion of CFRE certification leading to stronger Participating Organisations, a stronger CFRE, and a stronger philanthropic sector.
In describing the vision for the conference, CFRE International Board member and Advisory Council Chair Roly Owers, M.A., M.Sc., CFRE said “by bringing together CFRE International leadership and leadership from our Participating Organisations, in a facilitated conference setting, we will energise these important relationships, deepen our shared understanding of the complimentary nature of our organisational missions, and set the stage for new collaboration.”
CFRE International Participating Organisations endorse the CFRE credential and act as advocates to encourage professional certification within their constituencies. The CFRE Advisory Council is made up of an appointed representative from each Participating Organisation and assists the CFRE International Board of Directors and staff in addressing issues affecting the profession that may impact the credential, identifying services that CFRE International might provide and disseminating timely information on CFRE International.
