For many in the fundraising community, this is an unprecedented, unpredictable time. The uncertainty nonprofits face right now is a challenge unlike anything most of us have seen before.
We will get through this time together. We will learn lessons. We will adapt. We will keep marching forward for the organizations and causes we serve.
I am always amazed by the resiliency and compassion of our fundraising community. There have been wonderful conversations in CFRE Central where our community members are offering advice and support to one another on everything from how to navigate capital campaigns to handling cancelled fundraising events during this time. Seeing so many people willing to help one another is inspiring.
CFRE International will continue to be in your corner. We’re curating and posting useful information about nonprofits and COVID-19 through our LinkedIn page and in our weekly enewsletter. You can rest assured we will continue to notify candidates and CFREs with updates when COVID-19 is impacting certification.
Next CFRE exam testing window
We have been in touch with candidates scheduled to sit for the CFRE exam in the April 15 – June 15 testing window and will continue to share information with them as it becomes available. Our testing center partner, Pearson VUE, is also keeping candidates up to date on how COVID-19 is impacting operations.
Virtual learning goes the distance
As nonprofit conferences are cancelled or postponed, I’d like remind our community to take a look at My Education Finder. It’s an easy way to find virtual trainings as well as a host of webinars that will help you keep your fundraising knowledge sharp while earning CFRE education points.
If you listen to audio recordings of conference sessions, those can count towards your education as well. Be sure to keep your receipt of purchase or your conference registration confirmation as your proof.
Looking forward
No one knows what next week, next month, or next year will bring. Regardless, we can always support one another through these trying times.
CFRE International thanks you for everything you do to uphold confidence, ethics, and professionalism in fundraising. Our nonprofit sector is strong and we will navigate this changing landscape together.
