What it Takes to Become a CFRE
You must first meet a set of requirements, including working 36 months out of the most recent five years in a professional fundraising role, and then pass the CFRE Exam.
The CFRE Exam assesses your knowledge in six areas essential to a fundraising professional’s success.
Once you become a CFRE, you recertify every three years to demonstrate your knowledge and practice are current. Recertification does not require an exam.
