CFRE International launches updated brand

ALEXANDRIA, VA, USA, October 8, 2018 – Today CFRE International, which awards the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification, debuted its updated brand, which includes a fresh new logo. The organization also unveiled an updated website (www.cfre.org) and new tagline: Confidence, ethics, and professionalism in fundraising.

CFRE International President and CEO Eva E. Aldrich, Ph.D., CAE, (CFRE 2001-2016), explained why the time is right for a branding refresh. “Becoming a CFRE is a major milestone in a fundraising professional’s career. We updated our brand to reflect this core idea of achievement and reaching a new level of professionalism,” she said. “Our basic tenets remain unchanged. We are still dedicated to upholding the highest standards in the fundraising profession. We take great pride in the fact we are the only globally recognized, accredited certification for fundraising professionals.”

In addition to an updated brand, CFRE International’s refreshed website will make it easier for visitors to find the information they need. The site also includes a robust study aids area so that CFRE candidates can access a variety of preparation tools.

CFRE International Board Chair Heather Hill, CNM, CFRE, said, “CFRE certification continues to be the globally recognized standard for fundraising professionals worldwide. There are currently 6,300 CFREs in 25 countries. I’m excited to see this new brand help us attract even more fundraising professionals to take on the challenge of becoming a CFRE and continue to bring esteem to our profession.”

At a time when ethics in fundraising have never been more important and employers want full confidence their staff are equipped to perform their fundraising roles, CFREs remain in high demand.
