Policy on Extension of Eligibility Period
If a candidate fails to sit for and pass the CFRE Examination within their eligibility period, they may file a request to extend that period by 6 months by completing an Extension Form and paying an Extension fee. Extension candidates may also be required to pay an Exam Reschedule fee and a Re-Issue ATT Fee. Candidates must apply for an extension within 1 year of their Application Expiration date. If a Candidate is granted an extension, but fails to sit for and pass the exam by the extended Application Expiration date, they will be required to submit a new initial application, along with all relevant application fees.
